Vtg 1950s Sunbeam CG-1 Waffle Maker Iron Complete W/ Waffle & Griddle Plates

You're bidding on a vintage combination waffle maker, griddle and sandwich press - the Sunbeam Model CG-1 - circa 1950s vintage. Introduced to upgrade the classic W-2 waffle maker with some Mid-Century space age style, this machine added the convenience of having removable plates for convenience and more functionality. A great looking streamlined appliance, fully chromed and with a retro-futuristic dial that moves from "off" up to "5" in heat scale - when it reaches the desired baking temperature it lights up. A near commercial quality, American made device.
Note, this machine is in very good condition for age and type, but with some minor condition issues - mainly, some pitting and verdegris evident in the hinge area (the hardest spot to clean) - also some minor pitting/scratch in close to the side handles. Front lid handle has some scratch on the top front. SEE PHOTOS.
Overall minimal impact to presentation and appeal, though - scratch wear overall is minimal and the machine is bright, reflective and clean. Perfect working condition, clean inside, and complete with both sets of plates. Max dimensions are 14" X 14" including handles, and about 4 1/2" tall to the top of the lid handle. 10" square waffle plates make four 5" square waffles.
