    Description

    This is an ORIGINAL "yard-long" (42"x10") panoramic sepia photograph of the Panama-California International Exposition at Balboa Park, San Diego, California. The fair was designed to promote San Diego as a port of call for ships coming through the newly opened Panama Canal.  It was opened 1915-1916 attracting of three million attendees. Many of the beautiful Spanish Colonial Revival architecture buildings are still there today in Balboa Park.  Note the giant wooden Roller Coaster left side. The image is sharp, clear, with excellent tonality and composition. Titled and signed by O.Tunnell Photo San Diego, California.  Opened, cleaned, w/ inserted acid free interior backing, new dust cover/wire, original frame and glass.
